Often a customer’s production will grow to the point where their products or associated equipment gets larger than the overhead cranes that service those products and or equipment.
Depending on the initial capacity and specification of the overhead crane, an engineering study can be performed to see if the crane (with or without modification) can have the capacity increased.
Adding grooving on the Main Hoist drum and a new bottom block allowed a 5-ton increase on this crane to 85-tons.
