When you think of the word “venerable” you think of the words revered, esteemed, and admired.  So using the word venerable for the Magnetek SBP line of pendants is not out of line.  After all, the SBP line of pendant stations has been the bestselling, and most widely used pushbutton station for overhead cranes and hoists in the last 20 years.

However, all things change and Magnetek is going to provide a new replacement for the SBP station, in the SBN line of pushbutton stations.

Designed for crane and hoist applications, the next generation SBN Pendant Pushbutton Stations include new features that will allow you to select exactly the size you need. Available in July 2015, SBN is a fit, form, and function improvement over the SBP Pendant Pushbutton Stations it will be replacing.

New SBN Features:

  • Improved ergonomics
  • More pendant sizes available ─ 3, 5, and 7 button options
  • Allows for single hole configuration emergency stop
  • Enables quicker switch replacements by simply removing the back of the enclosure

  • Direct functional replacement for the SBP with additional flexibility
  • Agency approvals: cULus Listed
  • Max Power rating: 3 Amp, 250 VAC
  • Operating Temperature: 23°F (-5°C) to 104°F (40°C)
  • Environmental rating: NEMA 4/4X rated
  • Enclosure: Yellow Polycarbonate

Pendant Family Availability:

  • June 2015 – SBN Pendant Pushbutton Station online pricing and technical information will be available.
  • July 2015 – SBN Pendant Pushbutton Stations will be available for order.
  • July 2015 – SBI Pendant Pushbutton Stations will merge into the SBN product line.
  • July 2015 – SBP Pendant Pushbutton Stations will be subject to pricing and lead time increases.
  • August 2015 – SBP pricing will no longer be listed in Magnetek’s online Price Book.
  • September 2015 – SBP pendants will not be available for reordering.
  • October 2016 – SBP parts and services will no longer be supported.
  • SBP2 Pendant Pushbutton Stations will remain available.
