Ace World Companies
Special Crane & Hoist Applications by Engineered Lifting

Having the opportunity to design, work with, and supply Ace World Companies equipment provides lots of photo opportunities. The following are a view of the Ace machinery applications we have been working with, and might give you a few new ideas:

These photos are of a 7-1/2 ton trolley-hoist supplied to a Midwest steel distributor. Although the bridges are cab controlled Class D cranes, because of the duty cycle these hoist units are rated at Class E service!

This photo shows the built-up Ace design. The hoist motor operates at 1200 rpm under 40% or greater load, but with a light or no load condition these gearboxes operate at 1800 rpm input using Magnetek “Express-Speed”. How about increasing production half the time?

This is the business end of a 100-ton Ace built hoist with a 25-ton Auxiliary hoist. Note the low headroom reeving and load limit switches.

The above are pictures (just prior to shipment) of two special twin hook hoist trolley units, each hook rated at 5-tons each (10-tons per hoist), and 12 foot hook centers. Rotating axle design A-4 trolley drive, and that’s an A40 Ace designed and built horizontally split gearbox.
